Bağarası

One of the must-visit spots is Bağarası, a sympathetic restaurant nestled in a garden adorned with citrus trees in the village of Bitez. Their daily changing appetiser menus boast mouthwatering dishes like pumpkin with asparagus and spinach with strawberries. Don't miss out on their famous crispy manti, a true delight for the senses. For the main course, savour the delicious çöp şiş. And for dessert, the pumpkin dessert in lime is sure to leave you wanting more. To top off the experience, the tradition of Bağarası adds a touch of whimsy, as İsmail Bey tells jokes and anecdotes while standing on a chair, silencing the crowd with his whistle.

Limon Gümüşlük

Limon Gümüşlük is another gem not to be missed. This enchanting restaurant, furnished with a charming mishmash of random furniture in its garden, offers an unforgettable sunset experience. While securing a reservation can be challenging, the bar is a great alternative. Treat yourself to Mücver, stuffed zucchini blossoms, and lemon pastry, which are among the preferred flavours at Limon. If you're dining with a group, consider ordering their appetiser plate with nine different mouth watering options. Don't forget to explore their extensive and innovative cocktail menu.

Kısmet

Kısmet Lokantası (from Italian locanda), which has been serving since 1999, is a must in Bodrum both during summer and winter. Owner Orhan Dumanlı is a Bodrum lover who works to preserve local flavours. Kismet's immaculate counter always has the freshest local flavours of the season. They cook local Aegean dishes in casseroles in a stone oven. There are also special dishes such as keşkek and Turkish delight pilaf. “Get up before the sun rises, may your luck be blessed," reads the painting hanging on the wall. Fresh olive oil filled in glass bottles, dried red peppers and silver traditional dinner plates adorn the white plain background.  Kısmet is a very special restaurant that comes to mind when talking about local delicacies and herbs, and actually a must-see in Bodrum. Its symbol, the rooster, perhaps represents getting up early to prepare for the guests who will fill the place around noon.

There is a sweet rush every noon at Kısmet. Every day, guests view the hot dishes special for that day and the season from the glassed-in buffet, place the order, go to the table and wait excitedly. If you're a little late, you won't be able to find food. Everything is consumed fresh. From herbs to vegetables, from pastries to desserts, every dish reflects the story of the region.

Their daily changing menu is always  impressive, and be sure to save room for their signature dessert, kalburabastı, a famous Aegean delicacy. If you happen to be in Bodrum, we say take note of this very special establishment.

Liman Köftecisi

When it comes to meatballs, Liman Köftecisi takes the crown as one of the best in Bodrum. Situated in the heart of the city, this classic establishment is adored by both locals and visitors. The meatballs here are simply divine, offering a taste that is unrivalled.

Sünger Pizza

Sünger Pizza, located just 200 metres away from Liman Köftecisi, is a Bodrum fixture with a rich history of over 20 years. Their menu boasts a wide variety of pizzas and calzones, with special options like tuna fish and calamari. If you're not in the mood for pizza, they also offer delectable pasta and grill dishes. But, of course, the true delight at Sünger Pizza lies in their perfectly crafted pizzas.

Marina Yacht Club

For a memorable and a contemporary dining experience, head to the Marina Yacht Club. This entertainment hotspot at the marina features three different restaurants, each offering distinct flavours. Caffé Del Corso is a favourite among Italian cuisine enthusiasts, with must-try dishes like Tenderloin with Fennel and Tagliatelle with Saffron. At Marina Yacht Club Restaurant, you can savour both Turkish and international cuisine, while Roof Marine specialises in Mediterranean delights.

Kavaklı Köfteci

As you explore the Yalıkavak bazaar, be sure to visit Kavaklı Köftecisi. This popular spot, distinguished by its wooden tables, never fails to draw a crowd. The unique thin and pointed meatballs here have stood the test of time, ensuring an unforgettable taste. Accompanied by the flavorful fatty bread and piyaz, the meatballs at Kavaklı Köftecisi are an absolute delight.
